Well, actually ? yes!
For a start, we now have it from the horse?s mouth. According to an Inland Revenue spokesman ?we have always used the word customer because we have always wanted to treat people who work with us and pay their tax as though they do have a choice."
The spokesman was wrong about Inland Revenue having always called us customers. That is a modern idiosyncrasy. But he (or she ? there was no indication of gender) is right about the choice.
How do you exercise that choice? Well, there is more than one answer to that question. Hopefully, as a financial adviser you know quite a few answers. If you would like to brush up on some of them, you should attend one of our Focussed Coaching Days, many of which address this very issue.
Most people do not know the answer, of course. The trick is getting yourself in front of the clients who want the answer ? and often, in making them recognise there is a choice in the first place.
If you want to ensure you are getting in front of the right clients, why not join our Appointment Accelerator Strategy?
